About Us
We have a simple aim: to drink, debate and gently promote international development through combined purchasing power.
Our main focus will be on wine and coffee from developing countries, but we'll also explore drinks from closer to home with lower carbon footprints.

Next Event
2 February 2012: Our third event celebrates the centuries' old winemaking of South Africa. Cheese, figs and cranberries, as well as soft drinks, will also be served.
Drinks will be provided but PLEASE if possible bring a bottle or snack to make up the numbers. We look forward to a convivial atmosphere and trust all our guests to drink responsibly.
NB: WineDev is the new incarnation of the Staff Welfare Fund, so our budget covers admin staff, professors and fellows. However, if you're an MPP student and your research is linked to a theme of WineDev (Fairtrade distribution, climate change and the drinks industry, wine entrepreneurs in developing countries) and you bring a bottle, then you'll be very welcome.
Please email Howard Hudson (hudson@merit.unu.edu) if you have any questions or suggestions.
Time: After the staff meeting Thursday 2 February 2012
Place: UNU-MERIT conference room
Entrance: Reserved for UNU-MERIT / MGSoG affiliates |
